 Transferring to Paramount Foster Care

There are instances we all need a change. You could be looking for a new challenge or have become dissatisfied with your current agency. Whatever your reason for visiting our website, you should be assured that as a Foster Carer you have the right to move to another agency.

Fostering Networks Transfer Protocol stipulates: The transfer of carers protocol is based on the assumption that carers have the right to freedom of movement between fostering services; the principle that, in all circumstances, the welfare of any child must be paramount.

The process of transferring to Paramount Foster Care would need to be discussed on an individual basis. The transferring process is far less intrusive than your initial assessment and the whole process on average three to four months complete.

Paramount Foster Care will endeavor to make the transferring process as stress free as possible and will aim to achieve your goal in continuing to foster your current placements. In this instance, a Protocol Meeting will be arranged early in the process to discuss the needs of children/young people in your care and the services that Paramount Foster Care needs to provide.
